Synopsis: Driven by a desire to make sense of and curate the fragments of a fractured beginning, Canadian adoptee Mihaela travels back to Romania for the first time. Transference between subject and filmmaker is explored in this highly personal story that reaches beyond the topic of adoption, towards universal themes of rejection, loss, displacement, and healing.
