CIPRIAN MORARU
DIGITAL MANAGER
Ciprian Moraru is an Editor, with a degree in Multimedia from the Faculty of Theatre and Film and a master’s from UNATC in the Art of Editing. He has worked as an editor and assistant editor on both short and feature films, including projects selected at festivals across Europe and America. He collaborates with production houses in Bucharest as a video editor and DIT.
In Editing, he’s drawn to structure, rhythm, and the internal logic of a story. He often works as much on pacing and tone as on the technical assembly of the cut, collaborating closely with directors to find the right form for each piece of material. He approaches editing as a continuation of the writing process, a place where a story is still being shaped, not just assembled. As a Digital Imaging Technician, he’s responsible for the on-set image pipeline from camera to post: offloading and backing up footage, verifying data integrity, live color grading and monitoring exposure to make sure the image holds up all the way through to the grade. The role brings together his two areas of expertise, making sure nothing gets lost between what happens on set and what happens in the edit.
